HGSC : About the Center : Opportunities A range of opportunities for research and scholarship exist at the USF Libraries Holocaust & Genocide Studies Center. Contact us for more information. The USF Libraries seek a scholar/librarian to head its newly established Holocaust & Genocide Studies Center. The Center’s mission is to become internationally recognized for the quality of its collections, research, teaching, and community engagement. To achieve this goal, the Center crosses international boundaries, engaging information specialists, scholars, educators, students, analysts, and activists in a centralized, interdisciplinary, collaborative, and synergistic approach to genocide education, mental health and public policy, and prevention. The University of South Florida is among the nation's top 63 public research universities, is one of 39 community engaged public universities as designated by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and placed among the nation's top 20 "up and coming universities" in the 2009 U.S. News & World Report annual college rankings.
