How to View an RSS Feed

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a very useful way of gathering headlines and information from various web pages quickly and in one place. There are just a few simple things you need to know in order to make use of an RSS feed. Because RSS is a type of XML and is not html, if you click on an RSS link and do not have an RSS reader installed, you will see the XML code.

To view RSS feed content, paste the feed address into an RSS news reader or use a browser like Firefox that supports RSS feeds. Here are a few RSS readers to consider:

Free online RSS Readers (requires registration)

Newsgator
Google Reader

Free Downloadable RSS Readers

NetNewswire Lite (Mac)
FeedReader (Windows 2000/2003/Vista/XP)
