I am a second-year double major in Political Science and Economics. My research interests include public policy, effect of government on economic outcomes, and the executive branch. Thus far, I have worked on research projects on energy policy, globalization of urban areas, and the philosophical self in a paper that was presented at a conference in Oregon. I am also a proud member of the USF Policy Debate team and have traveled to several tournaments along the East Coast. I look forward to putting my experience to work for you.
Research can be hard, but sometimes all that’s needed is a break to stop and think about what you have and where you want to go. The end is worth the journey, even if it’s not the end you expected.
I am originally from Apopka, Florida. I am currently as Sophomore and have spent the last year here at USF. During the summer I was an OTL (Orientation Team Leader) and helped many first year students become part of USF. I loved being an Orientation Team Leader so much that I also became the Network Leader for the Sports Network for New Student Connections. I am also part of Alpha Sigma Phi, a fraternity of campus, and have be heavily involved in Intramural Sports and Beef Studs. I am very excited to help everyone as a Library GURU and please feel free to ask me anything about the Library of USF in general.
Everyone is in the same boat as you, but it is just up to you to make it a worthwhile experience. Take advantage of USF and get involved in something you enjoy doing.
I am from the small town of Waterbury, Vermont, but have loved spending the last two years here at USF. Before taking the job as a GURU at the USF Library, I worked part time at a law firm. I am double-majoring in International Business and Finance with a minor in Religious Studies. Aside from being excited to be apart of the USF Library’s GURU program, I am also enthusiastic to be planning a trip to the United Arab Emirates and gearing up for the LSAT, so that I can attend Law School, preferably in New England.

Not too far from home, I left Kissimmee, FL to persue my studies at USF and I am currently in the nursing program. I have worked at the front desk at the library for the past year and I am extremely excited to be part of the GURU family. When I am not studying to become a Bull Nurse or working, I love to work out at the gym or relax and spend time with my friends.
I am a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. This is my second year at USF, and I wouldn’t change my experience here for anything! I love being involved, and I’m always striving to make a difference. My future goal is to get my MBA in Sport and Entertainment Management through USF’s College of Business. I am very excited to be part of the Library’s GURU program!
Don’t be scared to seek help. The library is your best friend!

I am a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering. I came from Caracas, Venezuela two years ago to study at USF and it has been fantastic! My favorite database is Academic Search Premier because I think is one of the easiest to use. I love to read Latin American authors like Isabel Allende and Gabriel García Márquez. I hope to get a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at John Hopkins University. I am very open in meeting new people so if you ever need any help with research projects don’t hesitate in asking. You can always get help from a GURU!
