Embedding Tutorials
Blackboard
- Open your course in Blackboard.
- Select “Create Item” in the appropriate area.
- Name your content information and add any instructions for your students.
- Navigate to the tutorial webpage and select the tutorial you wish to embed.
Either
A. Copy and paste the URL (web address of the tutorial; (e.g. http://lib.usf.edu/tutorials/learning-catalog/) into your blackboard content information area, using the add URL link “small globe”, then click Submit.
B. Select the Prezi logo of the tutorial you wish to embed.
- Click on the Share Tab.
- Click on “copy code to clipboard”.
- Click on the Toggle HTML Source code < > brackets in the Visual Editor of the Blackboard Content Item you are editing.
- Paste the HTML code into the workspace below your instructions.
- Click Submit.
Canvas
- Open your course in Canvas.
- Select “Create a New Page” under All Pages.
- Name your Page and add any instructions for your students.
- Navigate to the tutorial webpage and select the tutorial you wish to embed.
Either
A. Copy and paste the URL (web address of the tutorial; (e.g. http://lib.usf.edu/tutorials/learning-catalog/) into your Canvas text area, using the Link to Website URL “chain” then click Insert Link.
B. Select the Prezi logo of the tutorial you wish to embed.
- Click on the Share Tab.
- Click on “copy code to clipboard”.
- Click on the “Switch Views” link on the Canvas page you are editing.
- Paste the HTML code into the workspace below your instructions.
- Click Submit.
