The Reserve Collections include:

  • Course Reserves (Book and Media)
  • Media Permanent Reserves (MR Lab)
  • Textbook Affordability Reserves

Course Reserves are items placed on reserve by professors and instructions which may include their textbooks, additional research materials and media items such as movies and music CDs.

Media Permanent Reserves (MR Lab) are a collection of some courses that are offered online and via television which include copies of the lectures and programs.

Textbook Affordability Reserves is a cooperative program between the USF Bookstore and the USF Library with the participation of the textbook publishers. This collection includes textbooks for courses where there are more than 150 total enrolled students and the publisher has donated the applicable textbook.

Students may check the availability of course reserves by accessing the Course Reserves section of the catalog and selecting the appropriate course, instructor or title in the course reserves catalog.

Most course reserves are available for 3 hour, in Library use only. There are a few exceptions that allow for 1 day, 3 day or 7 day loans. These will be listed in the course reserves catalog. Reserves have a $1 per hour late fee, $10 max.
