APA Workshop

What is it?

This workshop will address higher-order and lower-order issues related to APA. The first part of this workshop will focus on lower-order issues, including how to format a paper in APA and APA citation practices. The second part will focus on higher-order issues related to APA and emphasizes source integration.

MLA Workshop

What is it?

This workshop will discuss the major changes of the 8th edition of the new MLA (published in April 2016) as well as address higher-order and lower-order issues related to MLA. Creative Writing Workshop

What is it?

In this two-part creative writing workshop, students will first learn how to comment on and critique the work of a piece of both a poem and a piece of prose. In the second part of the workshop, students will break into small group workshops where they can then put their tools to practice, commenting on the work of their peers. This workshop is designed to give writers the tools they need to make their own writing more vivid and detailed while showing them how to assess the effectiveness of these tools in the writing of others.

What is it?

T/D: Thesis & Dissertation Workshop is a free, four-hour workshop and mini-retreat for writers of theses and dissertations at any stage of the process.

  • Presentations from the ETD office and the Office of Graduate Studies.
  • Meet one-on-one with both librarians and writing consultants.
  • Coffee and food provided!
