The first floor of the Library includes the first floor of the Learning Commons, the Information Technology Computer Help Desk, the Writing Center, viewing rooms LIB125D and LIB125E, and the Library Services Desk (Circulation, Research help, Reserves and Interlibrary Loan).

Second Floor – Learning Commons
Sound level: Low Talking/Group Study
The second floor is home to the new, student-friendly Learning Commons study space, the SMART Lab for classes and open computer use, instruction labs LIB201 and LIB209, and Tutoring and Learning Services.
Third Floor
Sound level: Quiet Study
The third floor of the Library contains call number letters A through K of the circulating collection and instruction room LIB309.

Fourth Floor
Sound level: Quiet Study
The fourth floor of the Library contains call number letters L through N of the circulating collection. Also on the Fourth Floor is Special Collections (including the Grace Allen Reading Room), the USF Room, the Juvenile Collection, the Classics Collection, and the USF Florida Studies Center.

Sixth Floor
Super Quiet Study Area Available
The sixth floor houses multimedia (video and audio recordings and music scores), Library Administration offices, Digital Collections and Services, and USF Information Technology.

Basement Floor
Sound level: Quiet Study
The basement of the library houses the Federal and State Government Documents print collections, maps, and the Reference Annex, as well as the technical service sections of the Library. It will house print periodicals (Magazines/Journals and Newspapers) once compact shelving installation is complete in fall 2012.
